What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Civil Engineer with a geotechnical focus. This role provides hands-on project experience supporting engineering teams on infrastructure and geotech assignments. You will learn and apply company design guides, codes, and standards while contributing to technical deliverables and continuous improvement efforts.
- Contribute to preparation of engineering deliverables (drawings, reports, specs) of limited scope
- Perform routine research and recommend equipment/material selection
- Collect, manage, and analyze engineering data for project work
- Prepare basic engineering calculations using standard methods
- Understand and follow budget, schedule, and quality requirements
- Coordinate and share information with project team members as directed
- Support client-focused activities and may assist with business development efforts
- Participate in quality and continuous improvement initiatives
- Share knowledge of relevant technology and processes with the team
Key Responsibilities
- Develop familiarity with departmental design guides, engineering codes, and Confidential Client policies
- Support the quality program and change management activities
- Produce and review less complex technical deliverables and engineering studies
- Assist with construction and constructability considerations and reviews
- Communicate effectively with internal project stakeholders and develop an understanding of external client drivers
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering with geotechnical emphasis, Geological Engineering, or Engineering Geology (preferred)
- Coursework or practical experience in geotechnical and structural subjects
- Basic knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable standards
- Awareness of industry trends and construction practices
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program (or equivalent from the country in which the professional is practicing)
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening if selected (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search as applicable and permitted by law)
