Program overview

Confidential Client is seeking early-career engineers for a two-year Graduate Engineer Accelerated Rotational (GEAR) program based in Barriada Flores, Puerto Rico. This entry-level, onsite role provides structured technical training, rotational placements at manufacturing sites, and hands-on experience across surgical device product families (e.g., endomechanical-energy, wound closure & healing, biosurgery). The program is designed to develop technical leaders in manufacturing, process engineering, and operations.

• Employment type: Full time, permanent
• Location: Onsite in San Lorenzo / Barriada Flores area, Puerto Rico with rotational assignments across North American sites
• Program start / placement timeline: Eligible to begin full‑time by June 2027

What you’ll do

• Execute assignments within an assigned technical curriculum (process design, development, implementation)
• Support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement activities
• Assist with site improvement initiatives (construction/installation support for new manufacturing technology)
• Support lifecycle management for existing products with cross-functional partners
• Take ownership of project outcomes and demonstrate leadership imperatives
• Learn and apply technical skills; support smooth transitions between rotations
• Provide feedback and recommendations on program effectiveness

Qualifications & requirements

• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S.; candidates who require employer sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible (students on CPT/OPT/STEM OPT typically do not meet this requirement)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering-related field obtained between July 2026 and June 2027
• Minimum of 3 months of relevant work experience (including co-op, internships, or post-graduate employment)
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Geographic flexibility throughout the GEAR program, including final placement upon program completion
• Eligible to begin full-time employment with Confidential Client by the assigned start date (June 2027)

• Passion for a technical career track in MedTech/manufacturing
• Demonstrated leadership and technical problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable learning in a dynamic, cross-functional environment
• Familiarity with statistical analysis (e.g., Minitab or equivalent)
• Proficiency with MS Office (including MS Project)

Location & logistics

This is an onsite role in the San Lorenzo / Barriada Flores area of Puerto Rico. Rotational assignments may require temporary relocation to other North American sites for defined periods of the program. Candidates must be willing and able to accept such rotations and final placement consistent with program requirements.
