What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Civil Engineer to join water and wastewater project teams supporting the South Central region. This role is focused on learning and contributing to the design and delivery of sustainable water infrastructure while developing technical skills and industry knowledge.

• Support multidisciplinary project teams on design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Read, understand and apply departmental design guides, standards, engineering codes, and project procedures.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and help resolve design challenges that meet client requirements.
• Perform routine research and provide recommendations for equipment and material selection.
• Prepare basic engineering calculations following standard methods and accepted practices.
• Assist with development of project schedules, cost estimates, and engineering deliverables.
• Develop and apply knowledge of engineering software, design tools, and digital delivery methods.
• Communicate effectively with project team members and internal clients; begin to understand external client needs.

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent accredited program).
• Eligible to complete required pre-employment checks (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search, as applicable).
• Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of engineering design principles and willingness to learn design standards and codes.

Preferred qualifications

• Coursework or experience in water/wastewater, hydraulics, or fluid mechanics.
• GPA ~3.0 preferred.
• Familiarity with construction and constructability practices.
• Interest in learning industry software and digital delivery tools.

Compensation & Benefits

• Annual salary range (per local law): $77,900.00 — $100,477.65.
• Full-time position; relocation assistance eligible.
• No visa sponsorship available for this posting.
• Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) with match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, employee ownership/stock programs, and performance-based bonus eligibility. Specific benefits and eligibility will be provided by the hiring organization.

Work Environment & Additional Information

• This is an entry-level, full-time role. Hybrid or flexible work options may be available after the first 90 days based on manager direction and job duties.
• This role will be based in San Antonio, TX (local office). Travel to project sites and client meetings may be required.
