Position overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Law Enforcement Intelligence Analyst I (Government Operations Consultant II) to join their intelligence and analysis section. This role supports investigations and patrol operations by compiling, analyzing, and disseminating criminal intelligence data to internal and external law enforcement partners.

What You’ll Do

Confidential Client seeks a collaborative analyst who will:

• Respond to analytical and investigative requests from state, local, and federal law enforcement partners.
• Research, analyze, and evaluate criminal intelligence information from law enforcement and open sources.
• Identify trends, patterns, and associations in large datasets to develop investigative leads.
• Prepare and distribute intelligence products including reports, briefings, threat assessments, and presentations.
• Maintain high standards of confidentiality when handling restricted and sensitive information.
• Use analytic tools and databases (e.g., Microsoft Office, DAVID, CAD, PenLink) and learn new software as needed.
• Liaise with local, state, federal, and regulatory agencies to support investigations and operations.
• Attend relevant meetings and trainings and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Applicants must demonstrate the following abilities and work behaviors:

• Knowledge of criminal or military intelligence concepts, financial or investigative analysis, or prior law enforcement experience.
• Familiarity with research and intelligence analysis techniques and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear oral and graphical presentations.
• Ability to responsibly handle sensitive and confidential materials in accordance with policy and law.
• Skill in organizing, analyzing, and synthesizing large volumes of criminal intelligence data.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and to establish effective working relationships across agencies.
• Ability to testify in court if required.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who meet one or more of the following:

• Four (4) years of experience where the primary function was intelligence or analysis.
• One (1) year of primary intelligence/analysis experience plus a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline.

Job-Related Requirements

This position requires candidates to meet the following conditions:

• Be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level national security clearance.
• Be able to travel in-state and out-of-state on a limited basis.
• Be able to alternate shifts and be on-call, including overnight and weekend coverage as required.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing (no cancellations, suspensions, or revocations for a minimum of three years prior to employment; no more than three chargeable crashes or any violation of Chapter 316, Florida Statutes, during any consecutive three-year period prior to and throughout employment).
• Candidates will be subject to a Level 2 background check and Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) clearance, including an FBI fingerprint-based check; CJIS access may include sealed or expunged juvenile or criminal records as permitted by law.
• The Confidential Client hires only U.S. citizens and lawfully authorized workers for this public-sector role. The organization does not sponsor employment visas (e.g., H-1B) or CPT/OPT.
