What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level Government Lending Annual Servicing Manager role supporting the confidential client’s government loan portfolio. You will perform annual servicing and administrative tasks to maintain credit files, help ensure regulatory compliance, and support the SBA servicing lifecycle.

  • Request financial statements and ancillary information from Relationship Managers or borrowers to update credit files for government loans.
  • Spread business and personal financial statements and complete stand-alone and/or global cash flow analyses.
  • Prepare annual servicing memos per established guidelines and route completed memos (and, when applicable, original credit approval memos) to the SBA Credit Administrator.
  • Follow up on open items with the SBA Servicing Manager, Relationship Manager, borrower, or SBA Credit Administrator.
  • Submit risk rating updates via the bank’s tracking system upon completion of annual servicing.
  • Perform weekly reviews of SBA 7(a) past-due reports with the SBA Credit Administrator and flag loans for earlier review when appropriate.
  • Maintain a month-by-month work log for SBA Credit Administrator and senior management review.
  • Reconcile the 1502 report to ensure all loans requiring servicing are on the master list; support CLAR loan processing (twice yearly).
  • Conduct site visits to borrowers’ places of business as needed.
  • Provide credit-related assistance to the SBA Administrative Team and participate in related marketing or cross-training efforts.
  • Adhere to the confidential client’s policies, code of conduct, and regulatory requirements.
  • Accept additional duties as assigned; seek continuous improvement through training and cross-training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field is recommended.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience (loan servicing, credit administration, or finance support preferred).
  • Familiarity with SBA SOPs and SBA 7(a) servicing practices is highly desirable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; comfortable preparing business letters and memos.
  • Strong analytical ability for financial statement analysis and cash flow modeling.
  • Excellent written and business English skills (spelling, punctuation, memos).

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Primarily computer-based work with substantial time in front of a screen; able to sit or stand using appropriate workstation.
  • May require light bending, reaching, and occasional travel for meetings or site visits.
  • Role is located in a temperature-controlled office environment. For telecommuting or hybrid roles, a secure, quiet home office and reliable wired internet connection are required.
