What You’ll Do

This entry-level GIS role supports GIS data work including map production, data conversion/migration, and geographic analysis to support infrastructure and IT projects for a confidential client.

  • Encompasses map production, geographic analysis, database development, system design, and project implementation
  • Assist in the development of GIS projects using ArcGIS or other designated GIS software to support current and future initiatives
  • Create geographic maps using available datasets and prepare map products for internal and external use
  • Develop and model geographic databases; support data integrity and documentation
  • Conduct research into emerging GIS technologies and recommended workflows
  • Perform field data collection using prescribed technologies, methodologies and specifications
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Planning or a related field — OR 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Basic proficiency with GIS concepts, coordinate systems, and spatial data formats
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented standards and specifications

What We Prefer

  • Experience with ESRI (ArcGIS), Intergraph, or Bentley software products
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Adobe InDesign
  • Prior experience with geodatabase design or map production for engineering/infrastructure projects

  • Estimated pay: $100,655 per year (estimated by the source). Actual pay may vary based on experience and location.
