What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level GIS Analyst to provide GIS data support, mapping, and analysis for infrastructure and IT-related projects. This role supports project teams by preparing, maintaining, and analyzing geospatial data and producing clear deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Encompass map production, geographic analysis, database development, system design, and project implementation
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of GIS projects using ArcGIS or other designated GIS software
  • Create geographic maps and cartographic products from available datasets
  • Develop and model geographic databases and maintain spatial data integrity
  • Conduct research into emerging GIS technologies and recommended workflows
  • Perform field data collection using prescribed technology, methodology, and specifications
  • Support data conversion/migration and QA/QC processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Planning, or a related field
  • OR 4 years of relevant GIS experience in lieu of a degree
  • Basic experience with GIS software workflows (data creation, editing, map production)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications for data accuracy
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with project teams and stakeholders

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using ESRI (ArcGIS), Intergraph, or Bentley GIS products
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Adobe InDesign
  • Prior experience with field data collection technologies and GPS workflows
  • Understanding of geodatabases, spatial analysis, and cartographic best practices

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated base salary: $95,394 per year (estimated)
  • This is a full-time, regular position
