What You’ll Do

  • Support geotechnical and construction materials testing projects, including field sampling and lab testing
  • Assist with engineering analysis, design, and preparation of engineering reports
  • Perform field inspections, site observations, and subgrade/staking tasks
  • Coordinate with project teams to meet schedules, budgets, and client expectations
  • Communicate with clients to gather project requirements and present technical findings
  • Contribute to project planning, documentation of design decisions, and quality-control processes
  • Analyze low- to medium-complexity engineering tasks and propose practical solutions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (engineers, architects, project managers) to deliver integrated solutions
  • Follow safety practices and applicable state/local design criteria

What You’ll Bring

Required

  • BS in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Basic familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and willingness to complete training quickly
  • Knowledge of design techniques and production of technical plans and specifications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in teams, with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel up to 5% (occasional overnight stays)

Preferred

  • Prior internship experience in building design or consulting
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) credential preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, speak, hear, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and grasp
  • Limited exposure to outside weather conditions and occasional loud noises
