What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Genetic Research Data Analyst (1-year fixed-term, hybrid eligible) to support genomic and multi-omic data analysis for rare disease case evaluation. The role focuses on data management, analysis, and supporting case workflows to accelerate diagnosis and research.

  • Collect, manage and clean datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze genomic, multi-omic and clinical data to support variant interpretation and diagnosis.
  • Employ tools to interpret, analyze, and visualize multivariate relationships in data.
  • Create databases, reports, charts, graphs and tables for investigators, publications and presentations.
  • Develop algorithms and statistical models; perform statistical analyses appropriate to data and reporting needs.
  • Use system reports to identify problematic data, determine root causes, correct errors, and recommend process improvements.
  • Document data processes, audit trails, and reporting criteria for investigators and research staff.
  • Collaborate with faculty, clinicians and research staff on data collection and analysis methods.
  • Assist with participant case management and tracking to ensure compliance with study protocols.
  • Communicate results and project status to internal stakeholders and external agencies as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics or engineering.
  • Substantial experience with MS Office and analytical programs.
  • Strong writing, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks to meet project timelines.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Background in Mendelian genetics and experience supporting translational research programs.
  • Prior exposure to variant interpretation and clinical genomics workflows.
  • Experience creating reproducible reports and visualizations for research audiences.
  • Familiarity with data auditing, quality control and root-cause analysis in research datasets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Term, Location & Schedule

  • This is a one-year fixed-term position (full-time).
  • Hybrid-eligible role based in Palo Alto, CA. Candidates should be able to work on-site as required by the research team.
