Responsibilities
This role delivers comprehensive primary and acute care to children and adolescents (ages 1–18) in a private practice setting on behalf of Confidential Client. Typical responsibilities include:
- Assess patients and diagnose a wide range of pediatric conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide routine well-child visits, immunizations, and preventive care
- Offer family-centered health education and guidance
- Manage chronic pediatric conditions and monitor progress
- Prescribe and manage medications appropriately, following state regulations
- Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Respond to occasional urgent or emergency situations as needed
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following clinical tracks:
- Physician: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), eligible for or holding an active Virginia medical license.
- Physician Assistant: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) appropriate for PA training and PA certification/licensure (PA-C) with eligibility for Virginia licensure.
- Nurse Practitioner: Graduate degree (MSN or DNP) with NP certification and eligibility for Virginia NP licensure.
Note: Candidates should be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to satisfy any state-specific credentialing or background checks required by Confidential Client.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in pediatric healthcare is acceptable; clinical rotations, residency, or supervised pediatric practice preferred
- Strong communication skills with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Comfort managing both preventive care and stable chronic conditions in children and adolescents
