Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a GenAI Python Systems Engineer (Experienced Associate) to join a Data & Analytics Engineering team in Grandview Heights / Columbus, OH. This role focuses on building and supporting cloud-based data systems, applying GenAI and ML techniques, and developing reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. The position is full-time and hybrid (location: Grandview Heights, OH). The posted salary range is $61,000 - $100,000.
What You’ll Do
You will work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain data and AI systems that support analytics and machine learning use cases. Typical responsibilities include:
- Build and maintain production data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using Python and SQL
- Support and monitor data warehouses, orchestration workflows, and data quality checks
- Contribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, ARM, Terraform)
- Containerize services and manage deployments with Docker and related tooling
- Implement developer-led testing and CI/CD best practices to maintain software quality
- Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data architecture and deliverables
- Explore and apply GenAI/LLM techniques to enhance products and internal tooling
- Troubleshoot performance, cost, and reliability issues in cloud environments
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in software or data engineering
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with relational databases and standard data engineering patterns
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a learning mindset
- Professional and ethical approach to client work
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Cloud platform certifications or hands-on experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with infrastructure as code: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or ARM templates
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows, model deployment, or MLOps patterns
- Knowledge of LLMs and GenAI techniques that improve downstream applications
- Experience with monitoring, observability, and cost management for data systems
- Programming experience in Java or Scala is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $61,000 - $100,000 (actual compensation dependent on skills, experience, location, and applicable laws)
- Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
