The Opportunity

Confidential Client is hiring a GenAI Python Systems Engineer (Experienced Associate) to join their Data & Analytics Engineering team. In this role you will contribute to client engagements that design, build, and operate data solutions and GenAI-enabled systems. You'll work with cloud platforms, Python-based systems, containerized deployments, and support model-enabled pipelines that turn data into actionable insights.


What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal team members.
  • Support development and delivery of production data solutions and GenAI features.
  • Write, test, and maintain Python-based services and data pipelines.
  • Implement and monitor ETL/data integration workflows; troubleshoot performance and reliability issues.
  • Support containerized deployments (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data architecture and implementation plans.
  • Apply developer-led testing practices to maintain software quality.
  • Learn and apply AI/ML techniques that enhance LLMs and model-driven features.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer/Information Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience (software, data engineering, systems engineering, or related).
  • Working familiarity with Python and SQL.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively on cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications (What Sets You Apart)

  • Cloud certifications (example: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Data Engineer, GCP Professional Cloud Architect/GCP Data Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration workflows.
  • Strong SQL and relational database skills.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and data science workflows; experience supporting LLM-related systems.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager).
  • Experience monitoring and troubleshooting data warehouses, pipelines, and cost/performance tradeoffs.
  • Experience with additional languages (Java, Scala) is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $61,000 - $100,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and in accordance with applicable employment laws.
  • All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus (where applicable).
  • Typical benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement plan (401k), paid time off, and other standard employer-provided benefits. Specific benefits and eligibility will be provided by Confidential Client.

Location & Work Model

  • Location: Florham Park, NJ (07932). The posting indicates a hybrid work model; final work model and office expectations will be confirmed by Confidential Client.
