What You’ll Do
This entry-level Functional Tester role will support functional testing for Pega-based applications as part of an Agile delivery team. Key responsibilities include:
- Support the design and execution of functional test cases for Pega applications following established testing guidelines and workflows.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and senior QA team members to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Validate system functionality against documented requirements and report deviations.
- Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with engineering teams to verify fixes.
- Contribute to test planning by providing input on test scope and estimating testing effort under guidance.
- Maintain and update test documentation such as regression suites, test results, and checklists.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and support testing across each sprint.
- Review and analyze test results, and escalate potential risks to senior QA staff.
Required Qualifications
- 0–1 years professional experience in QA, testing coursework, internships, or relevant projects.
- Exposure to or foundational understanding of Pega testing concepts or Pega functional testing tools (coursework, training, or internship experience acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of QA principles: test case creation, defect reporting, and regression testing.
- Ability to read and interpret requirements or user stories and translate them into clear test steps.
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working (Scrum or Kanban).
- Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with or knowledge of test management / defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Pega certification (CSA, CSSA, or other entry-level certificates).
- Exposure to automated testing tools for Pega (e.g., PegaUnit, Selenium for Pega UI).
- Familiarity with Agile testing methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
- Interest in test automation or hybrid testing frameworks.
- Awareness of CI/CD concepts and how testing integrates into pipelines.

- Employment type: Full-time
- Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year (posted by the Confidential Client)
- Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance required to apply
