What You’ll Do
This entry-level Functional Technology Analyst role (Project Management track) supports business and technology initiatives for a Confidential Client in the Financial Services & Insurance industry based in Manhattan, NY. You will help coordinate projects, translate business needs into actionable requirements, and support delivery tracking across technology and operations teams.
- Support project planning, tracking, status reporting, and stakeholder communications
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements and user stories
- Coordinate across business, technology, and operations teams to follow up on actions and dependencies
- Track project risks, issues, milestones and help maintain the action log
- Prepare status reports, presentations, meeting notes and executive summaries
- Support process-improvement and digital-transformation activities
- Analyze data and prepare basic insights to support decision-making
- Assist in day-to-day project administration and team coordination tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 0–2 years of professional experience (internships and academic projects count)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with collaboration tools (Teams, Slack, Confluence, or similar)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team environment
- Authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided unless specified by the client)
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Internship or project experience in Financial Services or Insurance
- Exposure to Agile, Scrum, or basic project management concepts
- Familiarity with basic data analysis or visualization (Excel pivot tables, charts)
- Interest in progressing to Business Analyst → Project Manager → Program/Delivery Lead
