Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Fullstack Software Engineer to own and deliver end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems. You will work on an AI-native commerce platform that bundles merchant tools with an AI agent as the primary interface. This is a fast-moving, product-focused engineering role based in San Francisco, CA (on-site). Relocation support (including flights to SF) and visa transfers (OPT/H1B) are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and own features across both backend and frontend stacks, shipping end-to-end.
- Treat the frontend as a product surface: understand UX, measure behavior, and iterate.
- Ship quickly, gather user feedback, and iterate on real user data.
- Collaborate with teammates to make strategic product and architecture decisions.
- Maintain scalable codebases and participate in system design discussions.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
- Solid hands-on experience in frontend and backend development.
- Demonstrated ability to ship product-focused frontend surfaces and backend services.
- Familiarity with AI tools and workflows — AI fluency is a core skill for the role.
- Experience at teams with a high engineering bar; VC-backed startup experience is a strong plus.
- Strong product judgment and comfort making tradeoffs in a small, focused team.
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco and to operate in nontraditional startup hours.
- Eligible to transfer visas (OPT/H1B) or already authorized to work in the U.S.; relocation assistance offered.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $200,000 - $250,000 USD per year.
