What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a hands-on Full-Stack Software Engineer to build consumer-facing and enterprise-grade systems that power AI-driven hiring experiences. You will ship features end-to-end, own services, and collaborate with product, data, and design to scale systems used by candidates and employers.

• Build responsive front-end features using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React/Next.js
• Design and implement backend services and APIs in Node and Python
• Improve system architecture to support thousands of concurrent users
• Optimize latency and reliability (targeting sub-200ms response times for key flows)
• Integrate with enterprise customer systems and external APIs
• Instrument services for observability, testing, and performance
• Work directly with founders and cross-functional partners to define and prioritize product work

• JavaScript / TypeScript (React, Next.js, Node)

• Cloud & DevOps: Azure, Kubernetes, Docker
• Distributed system design and architecture
• CI/CD, monitoring, and testing tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• Demonstrated experience building full-stack web applications
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend language (Python or Node)
• Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration (Azure, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Solid understanding of system architecture, latency/performance trade-offs, and scalable design
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear technical communication

Preferred

• Production experience with React + Next.js
• Familiarity with ML/AI product integration or serving models in production
• Experience integrating with enterprise HR/hiring systems
• Experience optimizing API response times and resource usage at scale

Work arrangement

• On-site, full-time. This role is expected to be in the San Francisco, CA office 5 days per week.
