What You’ll Do

• Implement and maintain full‑stack features for command-and-control (C2) applications, including web operator interfaces, backend services, and integration layers.
• Build responsive front-end components for real‑time situational awareness, mission planning, and asset management using modern frameworks.
• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines to support telemetry ingestion and mission‑critical workflows.
• Assist with integration of C2 software and tactical systems (e.g., Lattice, ATAK) and support interoperability standards (CoT, TAK protocols).
• Debug networking and data‑flow issues across the stack; use a working understanding of the OSI model (physical → transport) to trace connectivity, latency, and packet‑level problems.
• Collaborate with autonomy, robotics, and systems teams to surface vehicle/asset status, sensor feeds, and control interfaces within operator dashboards.
• Support verification, validation, and testing activities including simulations, integration testing, and operational exercises.
• Produce and maintain documentation such as API specifications and interface control documents (ICDs) in alignment with federal/defense standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1+ years of experience (including internships, co‑ops, or strong project work) in full‑stack software development.
• Working knowledge of the OSI model and basic networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, UDP, sockets, routing).
• Exposure to real‑time data visualization, mapping/GIS technologies, or WebSocket / pub‑sub architectures.
• Familiarity with or strong interest in tactical data standards and military C2 ecosystems (ATAK, TAK Server, Cursor on Target, Lattice). Direct experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic understanding of containerization and microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Eagerness to learn secure coding practices, defense software processes, and system hardening; mentorship will be provided.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. Active clearance preferred but not required.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

Nice-to-Haves / Preferred Skills

• Prior project or coursework with mapping libraries (Leaflet, Mapbox) or GIS stacks.
• Experience with telemetry ingestion pipelines and time-series data.
• Familiarity with real-time protocols and performance tuning for low-latency systems.
• Past exposure to TAK/ATAK integrations or tactical app ecosystems.

• Employment type: Contractor (per the client’s hiring model).
• Work location: On-site in Nashville, TN (local candidates preferred).
• This role requires eligibility for U.S. security clearance and may involve working in secure environments or on sensitive programs.
