Responsibilities

Confidential Client’s manufacturing software team builds mission-critical applications used across high-throughput production environments. In this role you will:

• Develop highly reliable full‑stack software used in manufacturing operations and factory automation
• Design, prototype, and ship new applications that improve production throughput and reliability
• Own feature development from requirements through testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to deeply understand user needs
• Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews to maintain high code quality and system reliability
• Profile and optimize application performance; implement robust CI/CD and testing strategies

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software engineering experience in lieu of a degree
• Demonstrated experience in full‑stack development (backend + single‑page front end)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience owning projects end‑to‑end

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Programming experience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object‑oriented language
• Experience building single‑page web applications (Angular, React, or similar)
• Familiarity with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery workflows
• Expertise in designing scalable software systems and production deployment (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Deep understanding of testing strategies, build/deployment tooling, and observability/monitoring
• Experience with build systems (Make, Bazel/Pants/Buck, Gradle) and package managers (pip, npm)
• Comfortable with UNIX-like operating systems and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
• Experience with in-stream data processing (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar)
• Database experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or comparable relational systems
• Strong profiling and performance‑tuning skills

Additional Requirements

• This is an on‑site position in Texas. Remote or hybrid work will not be considered.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and occasional weekends as project needs require.
• Ability to collaborate in fast-paced, production-focused environments where reliability and safety are priorities.
