What You’ll Do

You will design, build, and ship customer-facing and internal web applications across the full stack. Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable features using modern tools and cloud platforms. Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly to increase productivity and quality while following security and governance standards.

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using React (frontend) and Node.js (backend).
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, migrations, and indexing strategies.
• Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, including authentication and authorization patterns.
• Deploy, operate, and support applications on Azure — implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Create and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and participate in peer code reviews.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and implement performance, reliability, and security improvements.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-powered capabilities or third-party services when they deliver measurable business or user value.
• Collaborate on estimates, sprint planning, and iterative delivery; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting full-stack web applications with React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Azure.
• Strong understanding of HTTP, API design, authentication/authorization, and application security best practices.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and safe/responsible use of generative AI in software development.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.; ability to work onsite in Leawood, KS (see Location & Schedule).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks/patterns.
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Messaging, caching, or observability tooling (e.g., Redis, Kafka, Prometheus).
• Experience integrating identity, access, and multi-tenant patterns in cloud environments.
• Prior experience in Truck Transportation or related enterprise operations.

Location & Schedule
