What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Java and Cloud) to help design, build, and operate cloud-native digital communication services. You will work on an agile team to deliver resilient, scalable features and services that improve customer experiences.

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and frontend components using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Vue, and Node.js
• Build and consume REST/JSON APIs; work with XML where required
• Implement infrastructure as code patterns (Terraform) and collaborate on AWS architecture
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests; support automated test coverage goals
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing
• Support CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and help streamline release processes
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to reliability and performance improvements
• Collaborate with product, QA, and operations to ensure features meet business and security requirements

Who You Are

• 2–3+ years of software development experience (many candidates in this posting are early-career or internship-level but with production exposure)
• Proficient in Java and familiar with Spring Boot (Spring Boot 3 preferred)
• Comfortable with frontend JavaScript frameworks (Vue) and Node.js
• Hands-on experience or familiarity with AWS services and cloud-native design
• Experience with Terraform, GitLab, CI/CD, and automated testing best practices
• Solid problem-solving skills; able to apply critical thinking to choose appropriate technologies
• Strong communicator who works well on collaborative, cross-functional teams
• Willingness to learn new technologies, including AI-related tooling where applicable
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Potential starting salary range: $85,000 - $125,500 (starting salary based on skills, background, and experience)
• Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary

• This role expects a hybrid work arrangement with some on-site collaboration in Bloomington, IN. Candidates should be able to work on-site as required by the team.
