What You’ll Do
This is a hands-on Full Stack Software Engineer role on a small, customer-focused team building a production platform that reviews and validates construction change orders. You'll own features across the stack and ship reliable, maintainable web applications.
- Build and maintain production web applications (end-to-end ownership).
- Design and implement data models and APIs that support document ingestion, scope/cost comparison, and estimate-review workflows.
- Integrate LLM-driven judgments into application flows (the model's output influences decisions, not just text generation).
- Collaborate closely with product and leadership to shape architecture and priorities.
- Troubleshoot production issues, participate in occasional on-call work when needed.
- Communicate clearly in writing — async-first culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong TypeScript skills and production experience with React and Next.js.
- Demonstrated ability to ship and maintain production web features.
- Solid data modeling and API design experience.
- Experience building features where an LLM assists or makes a judgment within application logic.
- Ability to take loosely defined problems to working features and make pragmatic tradeoffs.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with PDF / document ingestion and pipeline tooling.
- Multi-tenant architecture and auth patterns.
- Testing experience (Vitest, Jest, Playwright).
- Familiarity with agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) or model-selection tradeoffs across providers.
- Construction domain knowledge or experience working with construction change orders.
Tech Stack
- Next.js · React 19 · TypeScript
- Convex · Clerk · Tailwind v4
- Anthropic API (LLM integrations)
- Vercel · GitHub Actions
Compensation & Location
- Salary: $90,000 – $140,000 per year, DOE (W2, Full-time).
- Remote-friendly (U.S. remote) with Jacksonville, FL area highly preferred.
- Employment type: Full-time.
Why This Role
- Join a small, fast-growing team with direct customer exposure.
- Significant product ownership and influence over architecture and direction.
- Work on meaningful problems in an underserved, high-impact market.
