What You’ll Do

You will join a cross-functional engineering team building scalable, data-driven enterprise applications. Typical responsibilities include:

• Build and maintain React-based front-end applications and Node.js backend services.
• Design and implement APIs and integrations across distributed systems.
• Develop event-driven, serverless components using AWS Lambda, SQS, SNS and related services.
• Lead data modeling and storage design to support high-performance applications and analytics.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (CDK) and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
• Integrate AI-powered workflows and natural language interfaces; assist with prompt engineering and AI-assisted automation.
• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate with QA to build automated test suites and validate performance and user acceptance.
• Work with internal platforms to orchestrate enterprise workflows and approvals.

Where You’ll Work & Schedule

• Primary location: Irvine, CA (Orange County).
• Secondary preference: Bellevue, WA / Seattle, WA.
• Onsite schedule: Hybrid onsite requirement — typically 3 days per week.
• Employment type: Contract (per the hiring organization).

What We’re Looking For (Required)

• Proven full-stack experience with React (modern hooks/patterns) and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services (Lambda, SQS, SNS).
• Strong skills in API design, integration, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing data models and choosing storage: DynamoDB, RDS, Redshift, OpenSearch, and S3.
• Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code (CDK) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with enterprise UI frameworks (example: Meridian) or large-scale component libraries.
• Experience building or integrating AI-driven features and prompt engineering basics.
• Solid automated testing experience (unit, integration, performance).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (per client requirement).

Nice-to-Haves

• Backend experience in Kotlin or similar JVM languages.
• Prior work on analytics schemas, query optimization, and BI integrations (e.g., QuickSight).
• Experience with event-driven architecture at scale.
• Familiarity with OpenSearch / Elasticsearch tuning and Redshift optimization.
• Background with enterprise workflow orchestration and approvals systems.
