The Full Stack Software Engineer at Confidential Client develops and maintains mission-critical applications that support launch vehicle production, Starship reuse, and the global Starlink network. What You’ll Do
Our confidential client is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to deliver reliable, production-grade applications that support manufacturing, operations, and customer-facing systems. You will own features end-to-end and work closely with product and engineering teams to move projects from prototype to production.
- Develop highly reliable full-stack software used across the organization
- Design and implement new applications and services that improve operational throughput
- Build prototypes to validate key technical approaches and constraints
- Own all stages of software engineering: design, code, tests, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring
- Collaborate on architecture, design reviews, and performance tuning
- Investigate user problems and ship efficient, well-tested solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software engineering experience in lieu of a degree
- 1+ years of professional experience in full-stack development
- Demonstrated experience working on production systems with version control and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Programming experience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented languages
- 1+ years building single-page web applications (Angular, React, or similar)
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, build and deployment tooling
- Familiarity with profiling and improving application performance
- Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with messaging or stream-processing systems (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or similar)
- Comfortable with UNIX-like environments and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
- Database experience (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar)
- Experience with modern build and package tools (Make, Bazel/Pants/Buck, Gradle, pip, npm)
Additional Requirements
- This is an on-site role based in Hawthorne, CA. Remote or hybrid work will not be considered.
- You may be asked to work extended hours or weekends depending on operational needs.
- For regulatory reasons, the role requires eligibility under applicable U.S. export-control rules. Acceptable statuses include U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident (green card), refugee, or asylee — or the ability to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations where applicable.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Ranges (base salary, actual level and pay determined case-by-case):
- Level 1: $125,000 - $160,000 (USD / year)
- Level 2: $145,000 - $195,000 (USD / year)
Base salary is one part of total compensation. Additional components may include long‑term incentives, discretionary bonuses, and benefits such as medical, vision, dental, retirement/401(k) access, paid time off, parental leave, and other perks. Exact benefits and eligibility will be provided by our client.
