About the Role

Confidential Client is seeking a product-focused Full-Stack Software Engineer to join an Experience Platform team focused on billing, management, and authentication interfaces. You’ll build transparent, reliable usage and cost experiences — from API surface to web UI — that give customers and leadership confidence in the numbers. This role is based in New York, NY (telecommute-friendly) and is a full-time position.

What You’ll Do

• Shape product experience and propose features that increase customer trust and clarity
• Ship end-to-end functionality across API, SDK, and web UI stacks
• Own integrations with billing systems and third-party vendor APIs; design for resiliency against outages and inconsistent data
• Build observable, auditable systems with monitoring, alerting, and verification to validate numbers and surfacing
• Partner with finance, product, and design to convert business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Use and help codify AI-assisted development practices and modern tooling to increase team leverage

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven experience designing and delivering APIs for a rapidly scaling product surface
• Proficiency building front-end interfaces with React (or comparable frameworks)
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Strong bias toward automation and building tooling to reduce manual work
• Comfortable using AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as part of your workflow
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Have

• Experience at a SaaS company with usage-based or consumption pricing models
• Prior work building billing features: usage dashboards, cost reporting, or spend alerts
• Familiarity with a compiled language such as Rust, Go, or Java
• Experience integrating with financial or payment APIs and designing defensively for delayed/inconsistent data
• Experience with stream/queue tech (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub)

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation Range: $165,000 - $190,000 (base, USD)
• Employment type: FULL_TIME
• Location: New York, NY — telecommute-friendly (applicants may be expected to work in or be eligible to work in the U.S.)
