About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring a Full Stack Software Engineer to join a team building cloud-hosted software used in precision medicine and biomedical data workflows. You will work on web-based applications and data-processing systems that support clinicians, researchers, and labs working with genomic and high-dimensional biomedical data. This is an opportunity to contribute to software that directly impacts patient care and scientific discovery.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, test, release, and support features for cloud-hosted, web-based applications.
• Participate in code and design reviews; give and receive constructive feedback to improve code quality.
• Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, designers, and other engineers to shape product direction.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, reliability, and security.
• Help evolve engineering processes and contribute to platform improvements.
• Stay current with relevant technologies and bring practical ideas to the team.

Qualifications

• Typically 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience building web applications or data-processing systems.
• Familiarity with front-end and back-end development and database management.
• Comfortable designing solutions that meet functional and technical requirements and communicating those designs clearly.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Helpful (but not required): interest in healthcare/clinical research, or experience with technologies such as Vue.js, Java, Groovy, Grails, Kafka, Micronaut, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.

Benefits & Compensation

Confidential Client offers a competitive compensation package and benefits. The base pay range listed by the original employer is $87,600 to $146,000 annually. Additional compensation and benefits may include annual bonus opportunities, long-term incentives, comprehensive health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, professional development, and wellness programs.
