What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a team building enterprise-grade, data-intensive web applications and financial management tools. This is a 2+ year contract role that will be onsite 5 days a week in Washington, Washington, D.C. (zip 20002). You will design, build, test, secure, and deploy modern web applications and integrations to support mission-critical workflows.
- Design and implement responsive, high-performance front-end applications using React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Build and consume RESTful APIs; integrate services across systems
- Develop server-side logic in Python (FastAPI/Django) and/or Node.js
- Implement state management patterns (Redux, Zustand, Context API) for complex interfaces
- Create and optimize advanced data grids and highly interactive UIs for large datasets
- Collaborate on data modeling, workflow automation, and end-to-end feature delivery
- Ensure application security, testing, troubleshooting, and reliable deployments
- Work in Agile/Scrum teams; use tools like Jira and Confluence for backlog and documentation
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams in a regulated/federal environment to meet compliance and performance requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience building enterprise web applications
- Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid) and responsive design
- Solid backend experience in Python (FastAPI or Django) and/or Node.js
- Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and data modeling
- Familiar with state management libraries: Redux, Zustand, or Context API
- Proven ability to build complex, data-intensive user interfaces and advanced data grids
- Experience with application security best practices, testing, and deployment pipelines
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- Secret clearance preferred — candidates with an active T4 Public Trust, active Secret clearance, or those eligible to obtain a Secret clearance will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial systems: budgeting, forecasting, or spend management applications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
- Experience integrating BI tools (Power BI, QuickSight)
- Prior work in federal government or other regulated environments
- Strong collaboration skills and experience with Agile/Scrum delivery
