What You’ll Do

You will design, build, and operate greenfield business applications used by purchasing, nutrition, operations, and sales teams for a confidential client in Animal Feed Manufacturing. This role offers high ownership: you’ll make architecture, UX, and product trade-off decisions, extend existing platform and GitOps patterns, and be accountable for production reliability.

• Own architecture, API design, and UX for the applications you build
• Translate business requirements into roadmaps and shipped code, including deciding what not to build
• Implement build & deployment automation (containerization, GitOps, IaC)
• Extend application-layer infrastructure-as-code and existing deployment patterns
• Define and enforce code quality and security standards
• Participate in on-call rotation / incident response for systems you operate

The confidential client uses agentic AI development tools in day-to-day work: agent instructions, coding standards, and architecture decision records live alongside code to keep AI-generated output consistent with engineering conventions.

• You’ll extend those AI-assisted practices rather than invent them from scratch
• Use AI tools responsibly — heavy usage is fine when paired with clear standards and long-term maintainability checks

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

We prioritize concrete experience and demonstrated judgment over specific years of experience.

• Proven experience architecting, shipping, and operating production systems (you’ve been the one paged)
• Experience deciding what to build (not only how) for at least one system that mattered
• Demonstrated ability to learn a business process deeply and build the right solution (even when it differs from the initial ask)
• Experience extending existing deployment and infrastructure conventions (GitOps / IaC) rather than creating parallel systems
• Comfortable shipping production work in more than one language and runtime, and explaining the decisions
• Strong skills in API design, relational and non-relational data modeling, and modern web architecture
• Able to weigh trade-offs and defend technical/product calls
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required — demonstrated outcomes are more important

• Hands-on experience with GitOps, Kubernetes, container builds, and deployment automation
• Experience with agentic AI tools integrated into engineering workflows
• Prior work on business-facing internal tools (ERP integrations, WMS overlays, B2B operations apps)
• UX-minded engineering — you’ve shipped, observed failure, and iterated
