Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to help design, build, and maintain secure, scalable web applications that support payments and fintech products. This is a hands-on engineering role that will work across front-end and back-end systems, cloud services, and AI-assisted development tools in a hybrid work environment. You will collaborate with product, design, data science, QA, operations, and compliance teams to deliver robust solutions suitable for enterprise-scale systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate product requirements into technical specifications and proposals.
• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and documentation for new features and platform components.
• Write, review, and maintain high-quality code across front-end and back-end services following secure coding and testing best practices.
• Build and maintain web services and integrations that operate at enterprise scale.
• Create and execute test plans; work with QA to triage and resolve defects.
• Use debugging and observability tools to investigate issues and improve system reliability and performance.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure consistency, maintainability, and adherence to standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations to respond to production incidents and deploy fixes as needed.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development tools and large-language-model based solutions (where appropriate) to increase developer productivity and improve product capabilities.
• Stay current with industry trends, cloud technologies, and AI approaches relevant to the product domain.

Minimum qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional software development experience; bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferred.
• Proven experience developing web-based applications across front-end and back-end stacks.
• Familiarity with system design, architecture, debugging, and production troubleshooting.
• Experience working with enterprise-scale web services and client-facing applications.
• Strong communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally and incorporate feedback.
• Commitment to secure development practices and regulatory/compliance awareness relevant to fintech/payments.

Preferred qualifications

• 3+ years of experience or a master’s degree.
• Practical experience or familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG systems, or NLP workflows.
• Hands-on experience using cloud services and automation frameworks for deployment and observability.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to engineering best practices.
• Comfortable working with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate tasks and investigations.
