The Senior Full Stack Engineer at Confidential Client is responsible for designing, building, and scaling customer-facing technology platforms using modern frontend and backend technologies including React, Go, Java, Python, and Node.js. This role involves developing scalable full-stack applications, building APIs and microservices, contributing to cloud infrastructure on AWS, and mentoring junior engineers while collaborating in a fast-paced, agile environment. What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale customer-facing platforms. You’ll work across the stack — from modern React UIs to resilient backend services and cloud infrastructure — delivering production-grade features that serve critical business workflows.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React, TypeScript and backend services (Go, Java, Python, Node.js).
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and service integrations (gRPC/Thrift where applicable).
- Participate in architecture and design reviews; set and enforce coding standards, automated testing, security, observability, and CI/CD best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents; improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Contribute to cloud infrastructure and deployment automation (AWS-based environments).
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; collaborate with product, design, and architecture partners to ship high-quality software.
- Communicate technical decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience; or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of production full-stack engineering experience.
- Strong frontend skills with React, TypeScript, modern JavaScript (hooks, reusable UI components).
- Backend experience in one or more: Go, Java, Python, Node.js; building APIs, services, microservices.
- Solid system-design knowledge: distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora, RDS) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).
- Hands-on AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudWatch, etc.).
- Familiar with Docker, CI/CD (e.g., CircleCI), Terraform and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and UI tests (Jest, Cypress, or similar).
- Agile/Scrum delivery experience across distributed, cross-time-zone teams.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini) to boost productivity.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Estimated base salary: $115,000 – $125,000 per year (USD).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Elasticsearch for search and analytics.
- Knowledge of Thrift or other RPC frameworks and event-driven architectures (Kafka, EventBridge).
- Familiarity with Bazel or large-scale frontend build systems.
- Infrastructure-as-Code experience with AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
- Experience contributing to shared UI component libraries and enterprise design systems.
- Background in real estate tech, marketplace platforms, or customer-facing SaaS products.
Location & Work Authorization
- Location: Seattle, WA (onsite / hybrid as defined by the client).
