Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join an early-stage AI startup product team in San Francisco, CA. You’ll help design, build, and maintain user-facing applications and backend services that support the company’s core AI product. This role is a great fit for engineers who enjoy end-to-end ownership, collaborating with product and ML teams, and shipping high-quality, maintainable code.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain web application features across frontend and backend
- Build and consume APIs to support product features and integrations
- Collaborate with product, design, and machine learning teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality
- Troubleshoot production issues, monitor performance, and propose improvements
- Contribute to architecture and system design discussions as the product scales
Who You Are
- Proven experience building production web applications covering both client and server components
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to software quality and maintainability
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment and collaborating across cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills and a bias toward shipping working software
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience working with AI/ML teams or integrating model-driven features into user-facing products
- Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks and backend/web-service patterns
- Experience with cloud platforms and deployment/monitoring tooling
