Role Summary
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring a Full Stack Engineer in San Francisco, CA to help build AI-native systems for manufacturing procurement and supplier workflows. This is a high-ownership full‑stack role that spans frontend, backend, APIs, data systems, infrastructure, and AI-driven automation. You will ship customer-facing features quickly, work closely with product and leadership, and help scale core platforms used by manufacturers and their suppliers.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of production workflows across marketplace, supplier portal, internal tools, or AI automation systems.
- Ship improvements and new features used directly by customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Design, build, and maintain backend APIs, frontend interfaces, data pipelines, and agentic AI workflows that automate procurement lifecycles.
- Collaborate closely with product owners and stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into shippable solutions.
- Use AI coding and prototyping tools to move faster and improve quality.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and help scale systems for performance, reliability, and security.
Who You Are
- 1+ years building and shipping production software (portfolio or examples welcome).
- True full‑stack builder — comfortable moving between React/TypeScript frontends and backend APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
- Practical engineer who knows when to follow engineering principles and when to break them to move quickly.
- Experienced using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as an active part of your workflow.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Comfortable working directly with founders, customers, and suppliers to surface and solve real problems.
- Excited by AI, automation, marketplaces, and the opportunity to transform offline manufacturing workflows.
- Willing to learn fast and iterate in a high‑velocity environment.
Bonus points:
- Former founder, early startup engineer, or someone who has owned a product end‑to‑end.
- Prior experience designing product flows for procurement, quoting, or supplier matching (helpful but not required).

Compensation & Qualifications
