About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to build and maintain modern web experiences and digital products. You will contribute across the full technology stack—focusing on clean, maintainable code, system reliability, performance, and iterative improvements—while partnering with product managers, designers, external engineering teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders. The role permits the use of approved AI-powered engineering tools to assist development, testing, documentation, and refactoring.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain websites and digital products across frontend, backend, and CMS layers
- Write clean, maintainable code with emphasis on reliability, performance, and simplicity
- Build frontend features using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- Implement backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
- Work with CMS platforms such as WordPress and PHP where applicable
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and external development teams to deliver features end-to-end
- Debug production issues and implement fixes that improve system reliability and code quality
- Own deliverables, participate in planning and code reviews, and solicit feedback for continuous improvement
- Create and maintain engineering documentation and runbooks
- Iterate and adapt existing systems as business requirements evolve
- Use approved AI-powered engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development tasks where permitted
- Provide occasional after-hours or weekend support for production systems, as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Proven full stack development experience across frontend, backend, and CMS technologies
- Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js
- Backend experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Experience working with WordPress and PHP (integration, templates, or plugins)
- Demonstrated ability to debug production issues and improve system reliability
- Track record of producing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
- Experience participating in code reviews, planning sessions, and cross-team collaboration
- Ability to produce clear engineering documentation and runbooks
- Familiarity with AI-powered engineering tools and how to use them responsibly to augment workflows
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness and ability to work on a W2 basis
Work Arrangement & Compensation
- Remote position (U.S.-based applicants preferred)
- Employment: W2
- Hourly rate: $65.00–$70.00 per hour (W2)
- Benefits for eligible W2 employees regularly scheduled to work 30+ hours/week: medical, dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, voluntary benefits, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, and sick time where required by law
- Production support may require occasional after-hours and weekend availability
