Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer (remote / TELECOMMUTE) to deliver scalable Java + React applications and integrate AI/ML solutions into production systems. This is a W2 contract role (CONTRACTOR) paying $38–$40/hr.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain user-facing components using React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS; design reusable UI components and patterns.
• Design and implement backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs using Java (J2EE), Spring Core, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
• Develop and maintain microservices architecture with robust security, observability, and scalability.
• Integrate AI/ML models and GenAI tooling into application workflows; apply model integration patterns and collaborate with data/ML teams to productionize models.
• Use enterprise-approved AI/ML developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot, or equivalents) to improve productivity while following security and compliance guidelines.
• Write clean, maintainable code applying SOLID principles, TDD where appropriate, and modern architecture patterns.
• Troubleshoot performance, security, and reliability issues across the stack; participate in code reviews and mentoring.

Must-have Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience; demonstrated Full Stack work across frontend and backend.
• Strong frontend experience: React, Next.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and reusable component libraries.
• Strong backend/API experience: Java/J2EE, Spring (Core / Boot / Batch), REST APIs, microservices patterns.
• Practical SQL experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Hands-on AI/ML experience: understanding of model integration, GenAI use cases, and leveraging AI-assisted developer tools.
• Experience with GraphQL is required or strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Bachelor’s degree (per client requirement) or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-have / Preferred

• Prior experience integrating GenAI capabilities into applications (prompt engineering patterns, model orchestration).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and cloud-native deployments.
• Experience with observability (logging, tracing, metrics) and security best practices for distributed systems.
• Mentoring and cross-functional collaboration experience.

• Pay rate: $38–$40 per hour (USD)
• Location: Remote (telecommute). Candidate should be located in the U.S. and authorized to work in the United States.
