What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a senior Full Stack Engineer (contract) who can deliver production-quality web applications quickly and independently. You’ll join an engineering team working on multiple parallel initiatives with an emphasis on front-end user experience and robust backend services.

• Develop and enhance full-stack applications using React, Node.js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Build scalable, high-performance front-end features with a strong emphasis on React fundamentals
• Implement state management, front-end validation, and integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack, improving performance and maintainability
• Conduct and participate in code reviews; mentor peers on best practices
• Validate and critically review AI-assisted code outputs instead of relying solely on automated generation
• Collaborate with product and engineering teammates to define technical solutions and deliverables

What We’re Looking For

You should be able to contribute right away and work effectively in a fast-paced contracting environment.

• 7+ years of software engineering experience preferred
• Strong, hands-on expertise with React and modern JavaScript
• Solid experience building server-side services with Node.js
• Deep understanding of front-end state management, validation, and performance optimization
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving and code-review skills
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal ramp-up time
• Familiarity with CI/CD, testing frameworks, and front-end build tools
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools is a plus (experience is helpful but not required)

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating React apps with GraphQL backends
• Prior work with TypeScript in full-stack applications
• Background building accessibility (a11y) improvements and optimizing for mobile
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $75.00 per hour (contract). This posting lists the pay range we reasonably believe we will pay at posting; final pay will consider experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
• Benefits available to eligible employees may include medical/dental/vision, HSA/FSA, 401(k), life and disability insurance — eligibility varies by employment type and client policy.
• This role is a contract position and is not eligible for bonuses, incentives, or commissions.

• Primary location: Manhattan Beach, CA. The position is listed as TELECOMMUTE (remote-friendly) — candidates should be able to collaborate across Pacific time zones as needed.
