Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Full Stack Engineer (Contractor) to join a classified Space IT applications team. You will participate across the full application lifecycle — requirements, design, implementation, integration, installation, testing, deployment, and sustainment — supporting classified environments. This role requires strong application-layer troubleshooting, database experience, and the ability to obtain required DoD/IC credentials.

What You’ll Do

• Implement, deploy, and sustain enterprise applications for classified environments
• Participate in design, implementation, integration, installation, and testing of applications
• Troubleshoot complex application-layer issues across compute, storage, network, and database systems
• Maintain and debug existing applications and interfaces; act as a liaison between classified programs and unclassified systems
• Work collaboratively in an agile/DevOps-oriented team; document work and communicate status clearly
• Support deployment and administration of enterprise tooling (e.g., CI/CD, ticketing, monitoring)

Basic Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD IAT Level II certification, or ability to obtain one within 90 days
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex technical issues at the application layer
• Experience with enterprise environments (compute, storage, network, database)
• Experience with databases and SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB, SQL Server, or similar)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities and deliver customer-focused results
• Ability to obtain required security clearance

Desired / Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps concepts
• Experience with programming/scripting languages (C#, Java, Bash, Python or equivalent)
• Experience deploying enterprise applications (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Tableau)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with Ansible and/or other automation tools
• Experience managing compute environments (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenShift) and network-attached storage
