Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Full Stack Engineer I to build cloud-native features on Microsoft Azure. This is an early-career/full-stack role focused on contributing to C#/.NET microservices and modern frontend work (React or Angular) while learning platform and architecture best practices under senior guidance.


What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain .NET microservices and REST APIs using C#, ASP.NET Core, and Web API following team patterns.
  • Deliver frontend features with React or Angular, implement routing and state, and integrate REST APIs.
  • Apply Tailwind CSS utility classes to build responsive, accessible UI components per team conventions.
  • Implement Azure Functions (HTTP, timer, queue, blob triggers) for serverless workloads.
  • Practice Test-Driven Development (TDD): write failing tests first, implement minimal code to pass, then refactor.
  • Write unit and integration tests with xUnit or MSTest and support team code coverage goals.
  • Participate actively in code reviews and follow clean code and team standards.
  • Write T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and schema migrations for SQL Server.
  • Read/write data using Azure Cosmos DB (SQL API) and apply NoSQL patterns under guidance.
  • Work within Hexagonal / Clean Architecture and apply Domain-Driven Design concepts with senior support.
  • Containerize services via Docker and learn Kubernetes scheduling basics.
  • Use .NET Aspire for local multi-service orchestration under guidance.
  • Execute and support CI/CD workflows via Azure DevOps and follow GitOps branching conventions.
  • Instrument services with OpenTelemetry and use Azure Monitor and Application Insights for observability.
  • Consume and publish events via Azure Service Bus or Event Grid and work with MuleSoft-managed APIs.
  • Use Visual Studio and VS Code effectively (debugger, test runner, profiler, source control).
  • Document service designs, API contracts, and deployment runbooks; keep them current.
  • Contribute positively to team dynamics and incorporate Confidential Client’s mission and values in daily work.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and maintain backend services and frontend features.
  • Implement serverless functions and integrate with Azure platform services.
  • Participate in design, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting.
  • Instrument code for observability and investigate production issues.
  • Follow team conventions for Tailwind CSS, API design, and service orchestration.
  • Keep technical documentation and runbooks up to date.

  • None.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 0–2 years of software engineering or full stack development experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of C# and .NET (6/7/8), ASP.NET Core, Web API.
  • Experience with React or Angular for frontend development.
  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS.
  • Hands-on exposure to Azure Functions, App Service, Service Bus, Blob Storage.
  • Awareness of .NET Aspire orchestration concepts.
  • Ability to write T-SQL and basic stored procedures for SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with Cosmos DB SQL API and NoSQL patterns.
  • Familiarity with TDD, unit testing (xUnit/MSTest), and code coverage tooling.
  • Basic Docker experience and awareness of Kubernetes concepts.
  • Familiarity with Git branching, pull requests, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Awareness of OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) or AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong fundamentals in C#, ASP.NET Core, frontend frameworks, TDD, and cloud-native practices.
  • Ability to learn architecture patterns (Hexagonal / Clean Architecture) and DDD.
  • Comfortable using Visual Studio / VS Code and standard dev tooling.
  • Clear verbal and written communication and strong collaboration skills.

Salary

  • Hiring range: $43.30 - $53.06 per hour.
  • Discretionary bonus based on company performance.
