What You’ll Do

Confidential Client's application software team builds mission‑critical systems used across the business — from manufacturing and launch operations to large-scale fleet and customer-facing platforms. As a Full Stack Engineer (Flight Software), you will own features end-to-end, design reliable systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready software at scale.

  • Develop highly reliable, production-grade software used across the organization
  • Build new applications and features that improve operations and enable rapid reuse
  • Prototype designs to validate concepts and quantify technical tradeoffs
  • Own architecture, design, coding, and deployment for assigned projects
  • Deep dive into user problems to create efficient, maintainable solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and team architecture discussions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related scientific discipline; OR 2+ years of professional software engineering experience in lieu of a degree
  • 1+ years of hands-on full‑stack development experience

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Programming experience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object‑oriented languages
  • 1+ years building single‑page web applications (Angular, React, or similar)
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong system design skills and a deep understanding of testing, build, deployment, and monitoring
  • Expertise in profiling and improving application performance
  • Familiarity with build systems (Make, Bazel/Pants/Buck, Gradle) and package managers (pip, npm)
  • Experience on UNIX-like systems and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet)
  • Experience with streaming/in‑stream data processing (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
  • Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Database experience (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or equivalent)

Additional Requirements

  • This is an on‑site role in Hawthorne, CA. Remote or hybrid work will not be considered.
  • You may be asked to work extended hours or weekends depending on launch/operational cadence.
  • ITAR/export-control requirement: to comply with U.S. Government export regulations, applicants must be one of the following: (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range (base salary):

  • Level 1: $125,000 - $160,000 per year
  • Level 2: $145,000 - $195,000 per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined case‑by‑case and may vary based on experience, knowledge, and skills. Base pay is one part of total compensation; candidates may also be eligible for long‑term incentives, discretionary bonuses, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan access, paid leave, and other standard benefits. This posting complies with California pay transparency requirements.
