What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable web applications. You will work across the full stack — contributing production-quality Java backend services, React front-end features, and cloud-native infrastructure on AWS.

  • Execute creative software solutions and troubleshoot complex technical problems.
  • Write, review, and maintain secure production code and reliable algorithms.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement automation to improve operational stability.
  • Lead technical evaluations with vendors and internal teams to validate architectural fit.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure code meets design constraints.
  • Analyze large, diverse datasets to produce visualizations and reports that inform continuous improvement.
  • Proactively surface hidden data patterns and use insights to improve code hygiene and system architecture.
  • Participate in engineering communities of practice to evaluate new and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications (Must Have)

  • Strong experience with Java and React.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda) and building cloud-native services.
  • Experience with relational databases (Postgres) and stream processing (Kafka).
  • Solid software engineering fundamentals: debugging, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
  • Ability to produce architecture/design artifacts and translate them into high-quality code.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and producing actionable visualizations or reports.
  • Associate-level engineering experience; able to work independently on assigned scope.
  • Available to work full-time from one of the listed U.S. locations.

Nice-to-Have / Preferred

  • Prior experience designing services that run in ECS and leverage AWS Lambdas.
  • Familiarity with Kafka event streaming patterns and Postgres performance tuning.
  • Experience evaluating third-party vendors and integrating external services.
  • Contributions to engineering communities or participation in technical meetups.

  • Multiple U.S. locations: Wilmington, DE; Columbus, OH; Plano, TX; Houston, TX; Jersey City, NJ; New York, NY; Chicago, IL (Greater Chicago Area). Actual work location and remote/flex options (if any) will be confirmed during the hiring process.
