What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to own product features end-to-end for a fast-moving marketplace. You’ll work across the stack — shipping TypeScript UI, backend APIs, and database changes — and help operate production systems.

  • Build and ship TypeScript components and pages for a Next.js marketplace site.
  • Design and extend TypeScript API controllers and data models backed by Postgres.
  • Own features from product definition through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
  • Review code, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and deploy production changes.
  • Support on-call rotations and respond to system outages; improve reliability and observability.
  • Tackle a shifting surface area: payments and marketplace flows one week, search or inventory systems the next.

Qualifications (Required)

  • 4+ years building web applications (equivalent experience considered); strong product ownership.
  • Production experience deploying and debugging TypeScript code (frontend and/or API).
  • Hands-on familiarity with Next.js, Postgres, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Comfortable with the command line and basic networking/ops workflows.
  • Strong written communication and ability to work asynchronously on a remote-first team.
  • Experience using AI coding tools productively and exercising judgment about their use.

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience with ecommerce or marketplace platforms, payments (Stripe), search or inventory systems.
  • Production ops experience: Docker, configuration management, observability tools (Grafana, logs/traces).
  • Comfortable handling system outages and improving on-call tooling.
  • Personal interest in gaming, PC building, or tinkering (nice to have).

Compensation & Location

  • Compensation: up to $135,000 USD, depending on experience.
  • Location: Boulder, CO (role supports remote or hybrid work). Applicants should be able to work US hours and participate in on-call rotation as needed.

Why Join Confidential Client

Hiring Process

The final step is a paid trial: you’ll take a scoped ticket or feature from the backlog and ship it so both sides can evaluate fit. Before that, expect a couple of conversations focused on past impact and technical approach.
