About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring a Full Stack Engineer (AI) to deliver customer-facing features and internal services for AI-powered web applications. This is a full-time, work-from-home (WFH) position based in/near Boardman, OR (US). You will work closely with product, design, and ML teams to integrate models, build reliable front-end experiences, and ship production-grade services.

What You’ll Do

• Build and own end-to-end features across front-end and back-end components for AI-driven products
• Integrate machine learning models and inference APIs into web and backend services
• Design and implement REST/GraphQL APIs and data flows between services and model endpoints
• Write tests, monitor systems, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable releases
• Collaborate with product managers, ML engineers, and designers to translate requirements into working software
• Optimize UI performance and ensure accessibility, security, and scalability in production
• Participate in code reviews, mentor peers, and contribute to architecture and roadmap discussions

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years software engineering experience building production web applications (full-stack)
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript and front-end frameworks (React or similar)
• Backend development experience (Node.js, Python, Ruby, or similar) and building REST/GraphQL APIs
• Experience integrating with external APIs and model inference endpoints
• Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases and data modeling
• Practical experience with version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD workflows
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively on a distributed team

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Prior experience working directly with ML/AI teams or integrating ML models into production apps
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing) and SRE practices
• Knowledge of security best practices for web applications and APIs
