Role Overview

Confidential client is seeking a Full Stack Cloud Software Engineer II to join a product development team building cloud-based neuromodulation software. This full-time, entry-level role supports design, implementation, testing, and documentation of high-reliability web applications deployed in global cloud infrastructure. The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, experience with modern web frameworks, and a commitment to delivering quality medical-device related software.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and test web applications on global cloud infrastructure
• Develop and verify software products using agile practices
• Collaborate across multi-site agile teams to meet project milestones
• Create and maintain software engineering documentation and processes
• Support and implement test automation strategies
• Provide timely status reports on development and test activities
• Participate in continuous process improvement and keep current with technical trends

Must Have (Minimum Qualifications)

• Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 0+ years relevant experience
• Solid foundation in software engineering and object-oriented design
• Experience building web applications (projects, internships, or work experience)
• Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams and communicate clearly
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for the duration of employment (see U.S. Work Authorization & Sponsorship below)

Nice to Have

• Strong working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Kotlin
• Familiarity with frameworks and technologies such as Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Angular, RxJS
• Messaging/streaming experience: ActiveMQ, Amazon SQS, Kafka
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data modeling
• Understanding of multitenant/multi-user paradigms and systems engineering

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range for U.S. (excl. PR): $101,600 — $152,400 USD (base salary range applies across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California; final offer may vary based on experience, education, market, and location)
• Eligible for short-term incentive (Medtronic Incentive Plan equivalent)
