Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Associate-level Operations Management Consultant to join its Asset & Wealth Management practice. This role supports clients across asset management and wealth management firms to improve operational efficiency, strengthen middle- and back-office processes, and apply emerging technologies to deliver measurable business outcomes.


What You’ll Do

  • Support client engagements to analyze current-state operations and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Map transaction lifecycles and document middle- and back-office processes.
  • Help design and implement operational solutions that improve efficiency, reduce risk, and improve client experience.
  • Assist with data collection, analysis, and visualization to inform recommendations.
  • Use project management tools to track deliverables, risks, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior consultants to produce client-ready materials.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing and continuous learning to expand technical and commercial skills.

What You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in management consulting, financial services, or asset/wealth management operations.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings clearly.
  • Authorization to work in the United States (employers may require proof of eligibility).

What Sets You Apart

  • Master’s degree (MBA or related) or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with asset management and wealth management operating models.
  • Understanding of transaction lifecycles for financial services products.
  • Experience with middle- and back-office processes, reconciliations, or settlements.
  • Proficiency with project management software and basic data tools (Excel, SQL, BI tools).
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and integrating data/system interactions.
  • Ability to travel as required by client engagements.

Travel

  • Up to 80% travel may be required for client-facing engagements.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range for this role in Philadelphia, NY: $63,000 - $140,000 per year. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, and location, and is subject to applicable employment laws.
  • Eligible employees may also receive discretionary bonus opportunities.
  • Typical benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement savings (401k), paid time off, parental leave, and other company-provided benefits; specific offerings will be confirmed by Confidential Client.
