Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE) to join a next-generation AI-enabled engineering program. This role is designed for recent graduates and early-career technologists who want structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience building AI-augmented software solutions in a hybrid Toronto, ON environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Frontier Certified Engineer you will:

• Learn and apply AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies.
• Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI tools.
• Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance.
• Help build knowledge retrieval workflows, data-driven solutions, and operational integrations.
• Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support.
• Work inside a small, cross-functional pod to deliver customer value.
• Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
• Continuously learn new tools, languages, cloud services, and delivery approaches.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, bootcamps, capstone projects, hackathons, open-source contributions, or personal projects.
• Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate in teams.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset with an ownership mentality.

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or prompt engineering.
• Knowledge of APIs, databases, automation platforms, and software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Any academic, internship, or personal projects involving AI, cloud, data, or automation.

Training & Certification

• Complete the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, business fundamentals).
• Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a pod setting.
• Participate in ongoing technical learning, certifications, and workshops.

Compensation & Work Location

• Base salary: $100,000 per year.
• Eligible for discretionary annual performance-based bonus and benefits that support physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
• Hybrid role with an expected in-office requirement (approximately 3 days/week) in Toronto, ON; specific client or office expectations will be shared during hiring and onboarding.
• Start date: hires are expected to start in September 2026 (final start dates subject to business needs and availability).
