Overview
This entry-level Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE) program is a hands-on engineering entry point into AI-augmented software delivery. The confidential client is building teams that combine AI, software engineering, cloud, data, automation, and infrastructure to deliver measurable business outcomes. The FCE program provides structured onboarding, an engineering bootcamp, certification pathways, and mentorship to prepare early-career talent to work alongside AI-assisted development tools in production environments.
What You’ll Do
- Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering technologies to design, build, test, and support software solutions.
- Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI-powered tools.
- Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and data-driven features.
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, and performance; help tune models and prompts when required.
- Contribute to knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data pipelines that improve AI experiences.
- Participate in testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support activities.
- Work within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
- Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices when developing solutions.
- Continuously learn new tools, cloud services, and delivery approaches through structured training and on-the-job experience.
Who Should Apply

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with demonstrable technical experience (projects, internships, coursework, or similar).
- Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, data engineering, or automation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate in team settings.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong willingness to learn quickly.
- Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering quality work.

Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with one or more languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development workflows.
- Familiarity with APIs, automation platforms, databases, and software development methodologies.
- Experience with Git and collaborative source-control workflows.
- Academic or personal projects involving software, AI, cloud, data, or automation technologies.
- Interest in responsible AI and continuous technical learning.
Training & Certification
- Complete the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, delivery, business fundamentals).
- Finish the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work inside a collaborative pod.
- Participate in ongoing technical learning and Frontier certification programs alongside experienced practitioners.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $100,000 per year.
- Eligible for discretionary annual performance-based bonus and benefits supporting physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
- Total compensation and benefits are reviewed against market data to remain competitive.
Location & Work Arrangement
- This role is intended as a hybrid position requiring in-office attendance three days per week at a client or confidential client office in Toronto, ON.
- Working arrangements may vary based on project and client requirements; final expectations will be communicated clearly.
Start Date & Timeline
- Target start: September 2026.
