Confidential Client is building next-generation, AI-augmented engineering teams. This entry-level Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE) opportunity is a structured program for recent graduates and early-career technologists who want hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, cloud platforms, automation, and modern software delivery practices. The role includes a training bootcamp, mentorship, and the opportunity to earn Frontier certifications while working in small, cross-functional pods on client-facing projects.

Who We’re Looking For

Responsibilities

  • Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering technologies to design, build, and improve software
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI-powered tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation solutions
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, performance, and business relevance
  • Contribute to knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven solutions that enhance AI experiences
  • Participate in testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
  • Work in a small, cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer outcomes
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and delivery approaches
  • Complete technical training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on project work

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with hands-on technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, military experience, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, or personal projects
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively on a team
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a fast-learning mindset
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering quality work

Preferred Qualifications

(Preferred but not required — we welcome candidates with partial experience.)

  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, and software development methodologies
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices
  • Project or internship experience in software development, AI, cloud, data, or automation

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning and Frontier certification programs
  • Work alongside experienced Frontier practitioners to develop skills for AI-native systems and client solutions

Total Compensation

  • Base salary: $100,000 per year
  • Eligible for discretionary annual performance-based bonus and benefits that support physical, mental, and financial wellbeing

Location & Work Arrangement

  • This is a hybrid role that requires on-site presence 3 days per week in a client or Confidential Client office in Toronto, ON (working arrangements may vary by project).
  • New hires are expected to start in September 2026; exact start date will be confirmed based on business need and candidate availability.
