Confidential Client is hiring early-career engineers into a Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE) program focused on AI-augmented software delivery. This structured, entry-level role combines training, mentorship, and hands-on client work to develop skills in software engineering, cloud, data, automation, and AI-assisted development tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to build and improve software solutions
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code while collaborating with teammates and AI-powered tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, workflows, and automation solutions
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance
  • Participate in building knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven solutions
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
  • Collaborate within a small, cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer outcomes
  • Follow responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and delivery approaches

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with relevant technical experience from academic or hands-on projects
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a fast-learning mindset
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, or prompt engineering
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, and data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
  • Internship or capstone experience demonstrating applied software/AI work

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, delivery, business fundamentals)
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a collaborative pod
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning and certification programs

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000 per year
  • Eligible for discretionary annual performance-based bonus

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Hybrid role: typically 3 days per week in a client or Confidential Client office in Toronto, ON. Exact working arrangements may vary by project and client needs.
  • New hires expected to start in September 2026 (final start date subject to business needs and role availability)
