Program Overview
Confidential Client is hiring entry-level engineers for a Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE) program focused on AI-augmented engineering and modern delivery practices. This is a structured, early-career program combining training, mentorship, hands-on bootcamp experience, and on-the-job learning to develop skills in software engineering, cloud, data, automation, and AI-enabled delivery.

Who We’re Looking For

Responsibilities
As a Frontier Certified Engineer, you will:
- Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and integrate emerging technologies into engineering workflows
- Write, test, debug, and improve code in collaboration with teammates and AI tools
- Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation, and data-driven solutions
- Validate and evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance
- Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and data-driven features that improve AI experiences
- Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
- Work in a small, cross-functional pod to deliver customer and business outcomes
- Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
- Participate in continuous learning, technical training, and certification activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar)
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with hands-on technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, capstone projects, or personal projects
- Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, data engineering, or automation
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in teams
- Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn quickly
- Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering quality work
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with one or more programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted dev tools
- Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Project experience from internships, academic work, personal projects, or open-source contributions
- Interest in responsible AI and continuous technical learning
Training & Certification
- Complete the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals
- Participate in the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work within a collaborative pod
- Ongoing technical learning and certification opportunities throughout the program
- Work alongside experienced practitioners while contributing to AI-native systems and client solutions
Total Compensation
- Base salary: $100,000 per year (as stated by the client)
- Eligible for discretionary annual performance-based bonus and benefits supporting physical, mental, and financial wellbeing
Location & Work Authorization
- Location: Hybrid — 3 days per week in a client or Confidential Client office in Toronto, ON (subject to project and business needs)
