About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Frontier Certified Engineers (FCE) to join a next-generation engineering program focused on AI-augmented delivery. This role is designed for recent graduates and early-career technologists who want structured training, hands-on bootcamp experience, and ongoing mentorship while contributing to real client projects that combine AI, software engineering, cloud, data, automation, and modern delivery practices.

Key Responsibilities

As a Frontier Certified Engineer you will:

  • Learn and apply AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies
  • Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI tools
  • Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and data-driven solutions
  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance
  • Help build knowledge systems and retrieval workflows to improve AI experiences
  • Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
  • Work in a small cross-functional pod to deliver measurable customer outcomes
  • Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
  • Continuously learn new tools, cloud platforms, and delivery approaches
  • Participate in technical training, certifications, workshops, and hands-on projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, personal projects, or similar activities
  • Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud, AI, data engineering, automation, or related fields
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in team-oriented environments
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong willingness to learn
  • Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications (not required)

  • Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, or data engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with source control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
  • Project experience from academics, internships, open-source, or personal projects involving software, AI, cloud, or automation
  • Interest in responsible AI and continuous technical learning

Training & Certification

  • Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, business fundamentals)
  • Complete the Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work in a pod environment
  • Participate in ongoing technical learning and certification programs while working alongside experienced practitioners

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $100,000 per year
  • Eligible for discretionary annual performance-based bonus
  • Benefits to support physical, mental, and financial wellbeing (details provided by the hiring organization)

Location & Start Date

  • This role is a hybrid position based in Toronto, ON and requires approximately 3 days per week onsite in a client or confidential client office (working arrangements may vary by project).
  • Target start: September 2026.
