Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE) to join a next-generation engineering program focused on AI-enabled delivery. This role combines structured training, hands-on bootcamp projects, mentorship, and real-world client work to help early-career technologists build skills in AI, cloud, software engineering, automation, and modern delivery practices.

This opportunity is designed for recent graduates and early-career technology professionals who are curious, collaborative, and excited to learn how to work alongside AI-assisted development tools.

What You’ll Do

• Learn and use AI-assisted development tools and engineering technologies to design, build, and improve software solutions.
• Write, test, debug, and enhance code as part of a small, cross-functional pod.
• Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation workflows, and data-driven solutions.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, performance, and business relevance.
• Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support.
• Build and maintain knowledge systems and retrieval workflows that improve AI experiences.
• Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices.
• Participate in technical training, certifications, bootcamps, and hands-on learning experiences.

Who You Are (Required Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from internships, co-ops, research, military service, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, or personal projects.
• Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, or automation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

• Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar.
• Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, and software development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Any academic, internship, or personal projects that demonstrate hands-on software, AI, cloud, or automation work.

Training & Certification

• Pass the Frontier Center of Excellence assessment (AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals).
• Complete a Frontier engineering bootcamp with hands-on project work within a collaborative pod.
• Participate in ongoing technical learning, certifications, and Frontier engineering development programs.

Compensation & Location

• Base salary: $100,000 per year (as stated by confidential client).
• This role is eligible for discretionary annual performance-based bonus and benefits supporting physical, mental, and financial wellbeing.
• Work arrangement: hybrid — typically requires 3 days per week in a client or confidential client office in Toronto, ON. Start date: September 2026.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
