Program Overview
This entry-level engineering program trains early-career technologists to work in AI-enabled delivery teams. As a Frontier Certified Engineer (FCE), you’ll join a structured bootcamp and onboarding experience, learn to collaborate with AI-assisted development tools, and contribute to real client solutions within a small, cross-functional pod environment. This role emphasizes hands-on learning, mentorship, and continuous technical growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Learn to use AI-assisted development tools and emerging engineering technologies to build and improve software solutions
- Write, test, debug, and enhance code in collaboration with teammates and AI-powered tools
- Support development of AI-enabled applications, automation, and data-driven workflows
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, accuracy, and business relevance
- Contribute to testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation, and operational support
- Help build knowledge systems, retrieval workflows, and other components that improve AI experiences
- Work within a small pod to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes
- Apply responsible AI principles and engineering best practices
- Participate continuously in technical training, certifications, and hands-on learning
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with technical experience from coursework, internships, co-ops, research, military experience, certifications, hackathons, capstone projects, personal projects, or similar hands-on experiences
- Demonstrated interest in software development, cloud technologies, AI, data engineering, automation, or related fields
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to learn quickly
- Ownership mindset and accountability for delivering high-quality work
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with one or more programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, or similar
- Exposure to cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
- Experience with APIs, automation platforms, databases, software development methodologies, or data engineering concepts
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git and collaborative development practices
- Portfolio items such as academic, personal, or internship projects involving software development, AI, cloud, or automation
Training & Certification
- Pass a Center of Excellence assessment covering AI foundations, software engineering, cloud, infrastructure, production delivery, and business fundamentals
- Complete a hands-on Frontier engineering bootcamp and project work within a collaborative pod
- Participate in ongoing technical learning, certifications, workshops, and Frontier engineering development programs
- Work alongside experienced practitioners while building skills to contribute to AI-native systems and client solutions
Total Compensation
- Base salary: $100,000 per year
- Eligible for discretionary performance-based bonus and benefits that support physical, mental, and financial wellbeing
Location & Start Date
- Hybrid program with on-site requirements as determined by client projects. (Original posting notes an office presence requirement of three days per week in a client or company office.)
